About SocialClub

What is SocialClub?

SocialClub is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the European Office of Cyprus which started in 2024 with a total funding of EUR250.000

SocialClub aims to reduce cultural distance and discrimination among VET (Vocational Education and Training) students by promoting multiculturalism, inclusion, and European belonging. It seeks to equip VET institutions with tools to foster cultural awareness and social inclusion through education, training, and peer-learning activities.

Key Goals:

  1. Assess Knowledge: Measure VET students’ understanding of cultural differences and their role in combating discrimination.
  2. Provide Training: Develop educational tools and action plans to teach students about cultural diversity.
  3. Encourage Inclusion: Promote a more inclusive VET education system that values multiculturalism.
  4. Build a Multicultural Community: Strengthen connections between VET students and institutions across the EU.
  5. Facilitate Peer Learning: Enable students to learn from each other through cultural exchanges and interactive activities.

Expected Impact:

  • Increased cultural awareness among VET students and staff.
  • More inclusive VET institutions that actively fight discrimination and social exclusion.
  • A European network of culturally aware students and institutions.
  • Easily accessible resources for VET centres to continue promoting multicultural education.
